NAYAN is a device that teaches the elderly how to use a walker properly and is also intended for training proper gait while recording data for research for redesigning the walker as a whole.

My team currently includes, Prassana Natarajan, a mechanical engineer, who has designed sensors that track the leg movements which is displayed and recorded to the smart phone, Varun Ramesh, our back-end developer, and Steven Ji, another designer. My responsibilities include designing the user experience and interface, user testing, and researching elderly friendly UX/UI.

We are currently in the process of user testing at assisted living homes and participating in multiple Start Up competitions. We are also planning on bringing in business majors on our team as companies and assisted living homes are gaining interest in NAYAN.
